THE CHALLENGE

Project Description

Self-initiated project exploring the intersection of design, sound, and digital archiving. I developed a fictional brand identity for CSES, a virtual archive, database, and podcast dedicated to documenting California’s community-driven radio network.

The concept celebrates the preservation of ephemeral creative spaces by visualizing how collective memory lives in the information age. What began as a design exercise evolved into Channels, a monthly radio show I co-host on Dublab, where we interview the people behind DIY spaces and independent radio.

MY ROLE

What I Did

I led the visual direction for the campaign from initial concept to execution.

  • Created the logo, color palette, and type system for a fictional archive and podcast

  • Designed digital and print assets inspired by broadcast and archival visuals

  • Conducted a 30 minute interview with the program director of Dublab

  • Evolved the concept into Channels, a monthly Dublab radio show highlighting DIY spaces
